Welcome to the Site Reviews section. Here, we will give information on our favorite sites, or sites we just manage to find. You can send your site in to us using the Page Address and you may find a review for it. We will try to review a site once every week.
Sort of a rival page in a way, but compared to AFP, it's ten times better. Some serious news and reviews sections going on on this site...not too shabby at all. Fanfic and fanart sections are a litle confusing to use at first, at least in my opinion, but other than that they are decent. They have a considerably massive forum section for people to bullshit with each other on, which is kinda cool. The only iffy part about the site is the fact that it is set up with the links named as "folders" and for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me. So, all in all, a damn good site. Check it out, but don't abandom AFP...please?
Recently I've come across the most modern and most easy-for-teens-to-relate-to web manga called Saturday People. It is co-hosted by a co-author of Dragonworld Z and by several other anime tycoons as I like to call them in case someone gets mad because I use real names. The site is also branched off of Dragonworld Z. I mostly chose to review this site because of the Manga, which is pretty much 90% of the site, and not the site itself. Ehhhh...what the hey... The site also sports some chaacter profiles of the Manga and general information of why/how/when/where it all came to be. So,check out Saturday People and see for yourself if you like it as much as I do.
Been almost a year since the last review. What the hell was I thinking? Anyways, this site is effing awesome. The site is called "Saiyanz Rage" and it is loaded. Basically a DBZ site on steroids. First with the basics, it's gots forums and links out the wazoo, along with editorials and crap. Also, along with all of that, this site packs detailed movi reviews and news galore. The multimedia section is currently down but contains tons of images/wallpaper/etc. AFP rating: SWEET
Been a while since we've had a review in. Your wait was not in vain. This little big site, as we like to call it, offers loads of stuff on the Anime Slayers. This site contains links, MPEG movies, and loads od pictures. About 28 indexes of pictures in all, I believe. Other features include a slide show, news and updates, and a FAQS forum. This site definitely gets two thumbs up.
Here it is. The site that I call "Planet Namek Reincarnate." Yes, this site has everything you've ever wanted to know about Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT. Even some stuff you probably didn't know. A huge site with tons of information, pictures, guides, summaries, and even a whole section of links devoted to the Dragonball Trading Card game. Let's hope this site never goes under.
Another site packed full of information. The Anime Shack delivers pictures, music, wallpaper, and news. It also includes fanart and fanfic forums, and an online store. All in all a pretty good site. Another one of those all out sites, but it's still a good one.
Stumbled across this comic site several days and figured, why not? Its Japanese (sort of), and Anime is Japanese. Anyhoo, this site features Japanese ptoducts, objects, etc., that are named in English...very bad English, that is. A good place for either a simple laugh, or just to make fun of the Japanese convertions to English.
Well well well, a site jam-packed full of all kinds of stuff. Tons of movie/DVD/VHS releases and reviews. This site also sports a load of magazine, sound track, and book reviews. This is basically your "review" site, but Anime.com also provides several links to some pretty cool sites and info on upcoming Anime events. All in all, this site rocks.
This is a good site for those of you who still have that annoying question nagging at you from the back of your head. What is anime and/or manga? Well, this site sums it up pretty well in a lengthy yet valid explanation of anime, what it is and why it is so popular. A very good site, might I add. It is a section of a larger site, but there will be a link to the main page already there. This site shows up as well on the FAQs page.
Those of you who are mad about no manga search engines, fret no more. This site has over 6,000 URLs to choose over. It is also a very colorful site which is easy on the eys. AFP isn't on there yet, but, hopefully, it will be soon.
DB, DBZ, and DBGT fans, this is your kingdom. Tons of information on characters, power levels, and all kinds of cool stuff. Loads of pictures and some stuff I haven't even heard of before. If you've never seen any episodes of any of the DB series, check out the summaries and you'll be hooked for life.
Good page for those of you who like fanfics an fanart--they have a ton. There are also a lot of Screen Caps that are cool to look at. Bonus features include the Japanese languge and Japanese writing as well as music vids. All in all, a pretty awesome site.
This site is a superb site for those that want to learn how to draw their favorite manga characters, or for those who want to get better. howtodrawmanga.com includes in-depth tutorials for the beginner, and tips for the expert. I reccomend this site to anyone who wants to learn manga.
