We actually have some questions from curious fans. If you have a question, please refer here to see if it is already posted. If not, and it is a good one, we'll post it.
Greku-Everything but comments. Send me Fanfics...Fanart...Fan Poetry.
Page Address-Sites to review, comments, and feedback.
1. How old are you guys? Greku We are both 16 and Sophomores in High School.
2. Why does it take so long to post a fanfic/fanart? Tom That is a good one. It takes a while because me and Greku barely have any time with school. We can only get on several times a week and for short periods of time.
3. Are you hiring any more help? Greku Well, not right now, but when we have more time, we will start looking for ONE more person. So, we will start accepting requests any time you feel like it. Send them to The Page Address.
4. What's with the size limit for fanart? Greku We need to have a size limit(130 KB Max.) because our server can only hold so much information. With smaller pictures, we can hold a lot more.
5. Why is there no size limit for fanfic? Tom Fanfics tend to take up much less space than fanart, so we have no limit for fanfics.
6. Ok, it's been like two months. Where is my fanfic/fanart? Greku If it has been this long, please e-mail us because it is probably a mistake on our part.
7. Are you guys going to have anything besides just fanfic/fanart? Tom Anything is possible. We are most likely going to be adding stuff to the site in the future as we go along. Don't worry...it's a fan page...made by fans, for fans!
8. How do you know when a fanfic has anime characteristics? Tom Well, I read the whole fanfic, then determine whether or not it does. It's actually really simple, and pretty much all fanfics that follow the rules will be submitted. I just try to get a mental picture of the characters and if the descriptions of settings, characters, and actions pretty much match those of an anime, the fanfic is dubbed worthy.
9. Do you pay for this site? Greku We do not pay for this site because we are financially challenged at the moment. When we can afford to pay for a site, then we will start thinking about it. It would be much easier with THREE people though...
10. What is Anime? Greku Well, that question requires quite a lengthy explanation. Basically, Anime is Japanese animation that expresses much emotion, usually has a lot of action, and runs like a soap opera. (Episodes only make sense when they are in order.) To get a better explanation, go here.
11. Why isn't your page loading? Tom We don't know why this is happening, or how to prevent it or fix it. Our guess is it is something with the server. All we can tell you to do to avoid it is use the reload icon on your browser.
12. How often will you hold contests? Greku Contests most likely will not have a schedule to go by, such as reviews, which are weekly, or polls, which are monthly. To put it frank, we will hold contests whenever we feel like it, but we will definitely notify you a couple of days ahead of time.
13. Can you write a fanfic with me? Tom Sorry, it would just be too difficult trying to write a fic with someone when you can only do it by internet or e-mail.
14. How long do you plan on running this site? Tom We plan on running this site as long as we can. If our interests stay the same and we still enjoy running a site, AFP will always be here for the fans.
15. Do employees get paid for working on this site? Greku Simply....no. I don't even pay to have this site running, so there for I don't pay the people working on it.
16. How long is The Bounty Hunter going to stay a manga? Zack There is no telling how long it could run. It could run for many many issues until there is just no more story to tell, or it could run until AFP shuts down (which won't happen for a long time, I assure you.)
17. Do you like Sailor Moon or don't you. I can see that NONE of the fanart is Sailor Moon, that makes me REALLY, REALLY mad. Greku We can only post what is sent in to us and Tom and I have stopped drawing fanart. I'm sure we will get submissions sooner or later.
18. *NEW!* Do the people who provide voices for Funimation anime work there? I'm just wondering because I've never seen a Funimation anime without hearing familiar voices. Geku This is a good question. Yes, most of the major voice actors actualy do work there, but some of the inferior extra voices, I'm guessing, are stand-ins with an under the table salary.
